Shampoo – haircut – hairstyle prices
For this price comparison, we were first interested in the price of a classic shampoo – cut for men, or shampoo – cut – brush for women.
Thus, on average, the price of this type of service is 32.7 € for a woman, against 19.9 € for a man. However, there are great differences between Ile de France and the Province, and depending on the type of hairdresser.
When it comes to hairdressing, we are not all equal! Thus, prices vary significantly between getting a new look in Poitiers or Paris. For a woman, the price difference is even 42%!
The simple shampoo – cut – brushing for a woman in the provinces will cost you on average a price of 24.6 €, against 38.8 € in the Paris region.
On the men’s side, the price difference remains present, even if it is less marked. Your shampoo – men’s cut will cost you € 19.1 in the provinces against € 24.5 on average in the Paris region.
According to the type of hairdresser
Other elements that can radically change the price of a service, your type of hairdresser or hairdresser. So, depending on whether you choose the hairstyle at home, a haircut in an independent salon, or a haircut in a franchised salon under the brand, the price will vary significantly.
Choosing a franchised salon under the brand compared to an independent salon will cost you 1 or 2 € more, while hairdressing at home is more economical in the order of around 4 € compared to an independent salon, 5 € approximately compared to at a franchised salon.
Thus, for women, the shampoo – cut – brushing service will cost you on average 32.6 € in an independent salon, 33.5 € in a salon under the brand against only 28.2 € at home (all regions combined).
Men, for their part, will benefit from lower prices for their shampoo – cut: an average of € 19.5 in an independent salon, € 21.9 in a branded salon, and € 14.7 at home (all regions combined).

If a hairstyle for men most often comes down to a simple shampoo – cut, the reality is different for a woman who will often ask her hairdresser in addition to a color, a balayage, or highlights.
How much does a visit to the hairdresser cost, all services included?
For women, the average price of a visit to the hairdresser is € 42.8, compared to € 19.4 for a man.
Here again, the average hides strong variations in Ile-de-France / Province and according to the type of hairdressing salon.
In the Paris region, the average price paid to hairdressers by women is € 47.5, compared to € 40.9 in the provinces.
For men, the cost is € 24.5 on average in Ile-de-France and € 18.5 in the provinces.
According to the type of hairdresser
Finally, the differences observed for the shampoo – haircut – hairstyle service remain substantially the same when comparing the price with all services included.
If you are a woman, it will cost you € 44.2 on average in a salon under a brand, € 42.5 in an independent salon, and € 37.6 for a hairstyle at home.
For a man, the price to pay will be € 21.9 on average in a salon under a brand, € 18.5 in an independent salon, and € 14.6 for a haircut at home.
In the end, the prices for hairdressing services vary greatly from one region to another and from one type of salon to another.
