What does the price of an alliance depend on?
This is the thorny point of the budget issue. The 18-carat gold wedding rings can have delusional differences if we compare between different models and especially different brands (gold story, the jewelry merry-go-round, maty, etc.). Be vigilant about the quality of the jewelry you are going to buy. A wedding ring is a jewel that you will wear every day, throughout your life and it must therefore be resistant.
If several colors of gold are available to you (white gold, pink gold, or even yellow gold), there are also different types of gold; we only recommend 18k or 750/1000 gold (our article on gold qualities can be read right here). You must flee from 9k gold also called 375 / 1000th which is not sufficiently durable over time (it hardly contains any gold in reality…).

Likewise, be mindful of how wedding rings are made. Avoid hollow or slightly hollowed-out models at the ring body and stones. If they are indeed less expensive (since containing less material, therefore less gold or platinum for example), they will deform on your finger over the years. And above all, they can cause skin problems, the result of an accumulation of dirt and bacteria in the hollow of the jewel.
To each their budget
For the tightest budgets, affording a duo of wedding rings does not necessarily mean breaking the bank or reducing the quality of jewelry. You can opt for a simple wedding ring, like a classic half bangle in 18k gold each, for example. For a duo of this type, you can count on an envelope of around 800 €, without compromising on quality.

The large jewelry stores (Histoire d’Or, Manège à Bijoux, Maty, etc.) are often the address that we think of first, it is a practical choice because the offer presented is generally important but be careful of the quality, especially about gold and stones, as mentioned above. You will easily find them near your home or within a radius of ten kilometers.
Jewelry Houses (Cartier, Tiffany, Boucheron, etc.) are the exact opposite of traditional brands. They offer a prestigious solution, but your wallet may remember it! It is not uncommon to find prices much higher than the average there because the quality has to be paid but also the brand. The locations of these Houses are very well located, in large cities where the price of real estate is soaring.
The alternative solution is to turn to online jewelry brands (like us!) Which sometimes have showrooms. The offer is generally very interesting with a large choice and competitive prices. However, you must remain vigilant about the quality of the jewelry presented. Are they made in France? What type of gold is used? What is the quality of the stones? So many questions that deserve to be answered, otherwise … go your way!
